Charlottetown-based DME is under new ownership after being purchased by CIMC Enric Tank & Process B.V. (CETP), a subsidiary of CIMC ENRIC Holdings.

Dutch company CIMC Enric Tank & Process has rescued DME from receivership.

The DME and Newlands (NSI) brands will now operate as DME Process Systems after CETP, based out of the Netherlands, purchased the business.

DME Process Systems will continue to manufacture both the DME and NSI brands out of the Charlottetown location, which is operational as of today.

Although DME Process Systems is a new entity, they will work with previously installed DME and NSI breweries for any parts, service or expansion needs.

DME, one of the most respected brewing equipment manufacturers in North America, was forced to cease operations at the end of November last year after it was issued an order by the Supreme Court of Prince Edward Island in Canada.

Its new owners, the CETP group of companies operates in brewing through its Ziemann Holvrieka and Briggs brands.

The acquisition provides the CETP group the opportunity to strengthen its position in the overall brewing market and further increase its manufacturing footprint in Canada.
