Scott Labs will host an Open House and brewery bus tour this Thursday, which takes in visits to Henderson Brewing Co, Clifford Brewing Co, Bench Brewing Co, Counterpart Brewing and and Open House at Scott Labs Canada.

Departing Henderson Brewing Co at 10:45, the day concludes with drop offs at the same brewery at 20:30.

The Open House at Scott Labs runs from 14:00 to 19:00 where guests can local beer and wine from Niagara, culinary creations from Memphis Fire BBQ Company and live music.

They can also check out the company’s barrel room, sensory room, hop freezer and more.

Its predecessor firm (the Berkeley Yeast Laboratory) was literally founded in the weeks prior to the end of Prohibition in 1933. The mission of the new company was to help customers produce better products for their customers. Value added was a core principal then.  It remains a core value   seven and a half decades later.

Its first products were lab services and yeast. In the years that followed the needs of the industry customers led them first to cellar supplies, then to packaging and finally into processing and bottling equipment. It has been evolution driven by the concept of adding value.
