A UK brewery has come up with an idea that is killing not one, not two, but numerous birds with one stone.
Camden Town Brewery has started a ‘can-for-can’ initiative that gives donors a free can of beer for non-perishable food handed to them in a winter food drive.
The brewery is working with charity The Felix Project to try to stop people going hungry this winter.
Not only is the charity doing a commendable act, it is generating a huge amount of publicity for itself and its new beer, Harvest Hells range, which will be the beer given out. There is no reason why the same idea would not work in Canada.
The event in the UK is being held in London, Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool.
