This month has been deemed Plastic Free July and Creemore Springs Brewery is doing their part by creating the first eco-friendly six-pack ring, made from by-product waste and compostable organic materials. The material is generally used for the protection of marine life instead of the traditional plastic rings that often end up in oceans and other bodies of water. As people are finally starting to realize how harmful the use of plastic is to the environment and start to move toward more sustainable alternative options, Creemore has set the bar by leading the industry in eco-friendly alternatives.
The Ontario-based brewery brews its beer in small batches in an authentic copper kettle, giving its beer complexity, balance and flavour, adding local spring water, barley malt, hops and yeast.
Creemore offers four unique beer options:
- Lager — The Creemore Lager has a bright copper colour, overtones of sweet caramel and appealing, well-balanced floral hop character. It’s fire-brewed using their own natural spring water.
- Lot 9 — The golden Czech-styled Pilsner has a smooth start and finish with crisp notes of malt throughout. It is inspired by and traditionally crafted to honour the founders of Creemore, who transformed a rugged patch of land into some of the most prosperous crops.
- Boundless IPA — Boundless IPA offers mighty hop aromas and flavours featuring berry, tropical fruit, melon and citrus. Though big and complex across the palette, the balanced IPA is refreshing and approachable.
- Helles — German-Style Helles is a malt accented lager that balances a pleasant malt character with floral noble hops with restrained bitterness. Crisp and clean, this refreshing beer is made with substance and is ideal for a summer drink pick.
