Three years ago, twin brothers Jeff and Nathan Rushton came up with plans to open a brewery. After an unsuccessful homebrew attempt by Jeff the brothers went back to school but continued to pursue their dream.
“We were looking for a pastime to do and I brewed my first homebrew, and it turned out horribly,” Jeff said.
“It really did,” his brother Nathan confirmed.
Today, the Rushton brothers turn their dream into a reality. On October 16th, Better Brother Brewing open their doors in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In spite of opening their doors in the middle of a pandemic, the Saskatchewan craft beer scene has been growing.
Five beers will be on tap opening day, including West Coast IPA, NEIPA, Chocolate Oatmeal Stout, Blonde Ale, and Pale Ale. For the launch, customers will be able to purchase beer by the glass with hopes to sell cans for take-home consumption next month.
