Red Bird Brewery in Kelowna, BC received the go ahead this week by Kelowna city council for a development permit for a massive expansion and renovation pitched by the brewery for the empty parking lot space right beside the brewery. The brewery will, however, have to return to City Hall at a later date to expand their liquor license. The expansion set out by the owners of Red Bird Brewery will expand the current building to a 100-person capacity indoor space complete with a full-service kitchen and on-site beer production facility.

In addition to the indoor plans, the remaining space will include a rooftop patio, turf bocce court, elevated music stage, dog run and 80 bicycle parking spaces.

Red Bird Brewing’s craft beer collection currently includes House Beer: Antipsipation IPA, Lady of the Lake Lager, Tomb Stout, Captain Kolsch, Paramount Porter
