Pancho’s Creates a beer-infused Pan de Muerto for Día de Muertos

The Toronto-based Mexican bakery, Pancho’s Bakery, is known for its authentic Mexican cuisine so it was no surprise when they got creative with their culinary offerings by partnering with beer brand, Tecate to offer customers a beer-infused Pan de Muerto (Bread of the Dead) for Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead). The bread stems from decades of tradition celebrating the deceased in Mexico.

The Pan De Muerto bread is made using flour, fresh yeast, milk, butter, eggs, milk, orange zest, and, of course, Tecate beer to create the traditional bread adding the Tecate twist.

Born on the western bicultural borderland of Baja California, Mexico, Tecate® was originally created in 1944 to be the perfect thirst quencher for the miners working in the area. Tecate® Original is a full-bodied lager with a refreshing crisp malt flavor and a pleasant aftertaste.
