Eastern Ontario opened up its newest brewery, Fine Balance Brewing in Kingston, Ontario.
Fine Balance prides itself on being founded on the philosophy that life and beer require balance to be at their best. They are constantly brewing new releases made with carefully sourced high-quality ingredients. Their brewery features a taproom that opens up into the brewery, so visitors can catch an up close and intimate look at the brewing process.
The brewery features a 10BBL (1200L) brewhouse for enough fermenter and brite tank space to brew, produce and package on site. In addition to the 10 bbl brewhouse, they use a small pilot system to try new recipes and produce special one-off brews.
Fine Balance beer can be ordered online for local delivery and shipping across Ontario, and will also be available in the Fine Balance taproom and retail store which is set to open soon.
Brews include:
Light Hazy Pale Ale – made with very low bitterness(IBU) and alcohol(ABV) this pale ale is the perfect introduction to the style. Light Hazy Pale Ale was finished with a generous dry-hop of Galaxy (AUS) and Citra (US) hops, resulting in a bright citrus forward finish.
Oats & Cream IPA – inspired by the modern NEIPAs coming out of the eastern seaboard of the United States, this IPA utilizes a large amount of oats, and just enough lactose, able to produce a beer as creamy as it is hazy. This batch of Oats & Cream IPA was finished with a generous dry-hop of Nelson(NZ) and Citra(US) hops, resulting in a fruity hop- forward finish.
And the newest addition, Tightrope DIPA – DIPA is made in the NE style with the classic hop combo of Simcoe, Citra and Mosaic. With low bitterness and a large dry hop, this DIPA is easy to drink while being very hop forward. Juicy, hazy, lush and large, Tightope erupts with notes of citrus and blueberry.
