The Paris Beer Company has officially opened its doors in Paris, Ontario. Located in downtown Paris, Ontario, the brewery has situated itself inside the historic Paris Wincey Mills building  – a building that dates back to 1889. This beautiful site is home to a year-round market with local, quality vendors and a friendly, comfortable café. Outside of the diverse range of goods, the market hall invites the community to engage in culinary events at the well-appointed test kitchen.

Founded by brothers Ken and John Edgar, their wives Jennifer and Marsha, and brew master Christian von der Heide, the Paris Beer Company boasts a concept aiming to create Paris’ first taproom brewery with a focus on quality beer, a tasting room where the product can be sampled and enjoyed with small bites set in a comfortable atmosphere. On-site, beer, food and entertainment will combine to create a local, cultural experience for residents and visitors alike.

The speakeasy bottle shop will serve a selection of fresh brews for customers to take home to enjoy, using their own hops grown on their farm in Paris as well as sourcing locally grown food and ingredients. 

The beers currently featured on tap are:

Mill Race Bohemian Pilsner (5.5% abv) – maltiness, floral notes and noble bitterness

Wincey Weiss Wheat Beer (5% abv) – classic wheat beer, hints of clove, banana aroma

Head Gate Helles Lager (4.8% abv) – Munich style lager, mild, refreshing

Nith Country Ale (4.8% abv) – mild caramel notes, cascade hops, mild and easy drinking

Tagwerk Smoked Oat Porter (5.8% abv) – smokey, peaty notes, mild caramel, roasted chocolate & coffee

Barnyard Bully Double IPA (6% abv) – Opera of cascade & centennial hops, amber malt, floral notes, kiln dried caramel brewed with their 2020 hops

Tagwerk Kveik Farmhaus Ale (6.5% abv) – Fruity, citrusy, caramel malt, organic cane sugar, hibiscus flower

Smakelijk Wit (5% abv) – classic Belgian style, citrus impressions from coriander and lemon rindLazy Dog Heller Bock (6% abv) – seasonal, Munich malt, aromatic hops with citrus impressions
