In an effort to do their part for creating sustainable products and help reduce single-use plastics, global Japanese company, Asahi Breweries teamed up with Marushige Confectionery to create edible cups. Known for its innovative Japanese brewing techniques and taste, the brand boasts high-quality brewing credentials through its use of the finest ingredients – yeast, malt, hops, maize and rice. The edible Mogu cups are made by baking potato starch at a high temperature and pressure making the material durable enough to sustain holding liquid and can be consumed post-beverage completion.
Available in a range of sizes and can be used for more than just liquid beverages, the edible cups can be found in different flavors: plain, shrimp rice crackers, chocolate and nuts.
