Victoria Launches Ale Trail Passport

As breweries continue to come up with creative ways to navigate through the pandemic and current lockdowns, Victoria, BC, has launched the “Victoria Ale Trail Passport,” which showcases local breweries and offers beer fans a chance to win prizes for supporting local businesses.

This month-long event takes place across 14 participating breweries which includes Canoe Brewpub, Category 12 Brewing and Driftwood Brewery. When beer lovers visit each brewery, they will receive a stamp for their passport to enter to win prizes once they collect six stamps.

“Victoria has long been hailed as the cradle of the craft beer revolution, home to Canada’s first brewpub and some of B.C.’s most popular breweries,” according to a press release.

“The Victoria Ale Trail passport is the perfect opportunity to support your neighbourhood brewery while staying local,” said Joe Wiebe, BC Ale Trail content manager. “Most of the breweries and brewpubs have breezy patios where you can enjoy a beer in the sunshine, or you can pick up packaged beer to go. Either way, you’ll earn a stamp and feel good about investing your dollars back into our community.”

The event will run from May 1 to May 31.
