Molson Coors announced the production increase of its Canadian operation’s hard seltzer by 300 percent.
The expansion comes from Molson’s mission to transition itself from a sole brewing company to a beverage company, which would include products such as their hard seltzer. Already dedicating a $100m investment into its hard seltzer production, Molson has already added to its roster of products by taking a joint stake with cannabis producer Hexo Corp. in Truss Beverage Co.
The company recently released its Vizzy and Coors Seltzer in time for the summer months, which contain a minimum of 4.5 percent of alcohol and only about or less than 100 calories per 355-ml bottle which makes it an ideal choice for the health-conscious craze that has hit the market since the pandemic began.
