Victoria Brewery Creates NFT beer

Almost two years since its inception, Victoria, BC’s Whistle Buoy Brewery has released a non-fungible token (NFT), making it the country’s first drinkable NFT.

“We were tuned in to some of what’s happening in the cryptocurrency market right now,” said Isaiah Archer, marketing director at Whistle Buoy. “Because we have this creative outlet of launching new beers all the time, we thought we’d try dipping our toes into (NFT’s),” considering that people are “engaging with consumer products in a completely new dimension.”

Details of the NFT beer are as follows:

    • NFT IPA – 6.1 % 69ibu
    • Yeast: Vermont
    • Style: Juicy IPA
    • Kettle Hops: Flex, Nelson Sauvin
    • Dry Hops: Trident, Nelson Sauvin

Notes: Bullish or bearish you’re going to want to buy the dip, buy the drop, buy the beer. Aromas of citrus peel and grass give way to a wave of melon, papaya, and grape to take you to the moon. This beer is a limited offer so pump and dump before the whales get it all or Elon tweets about it.

“Non-fungible” data is data made completely by way of blockchain technology. The buyer of an NFT picture, GIF or video owns a one-of-a-kind version of that file. Although NFT media can be downloaded, screenshot or pirated the original is an authentic file that can only belong to its owner.
