A beloved non-alcoholic brand, GRUVI, has been helping customers be healthy and stay social, one drink at a time since their inception in Toronto in 2019. They created a line of craft, non-alcoholic beers and wine that feature a tasty, healthy brew.
When the company started their journey, their only funding came from friends and family. Being one of the first non-alcoholic beverage brands to engulf this space, Gruvi continues to be a leader in the industry, and has seen an escalated growth of more than 400 percent in the last 12 months. Gruvi recently secured $2.0 million seed funding and is projected to triple in business over the next 12 to 16 months.
Gruvi’s Beer options include:
IPA: This non-alcoholic IPA is lighter, yet hop-forward and flavorful, made for mid-hike pick-me-ups and chairlift cheers-ing. Each brew is packed with Citra, Galaxy and Mosaic hops to capture the best flavors of an IPA. Each sip is perfectly balanced with hoppy, citrusy and slightly bitter notes. Ingredients: water, barley, wheat, malt, hops, yeast.
Sour Weisse: A take on the classic Berliner Weisse is tart, citrusy wheat beer. A lighter style of sour, weisse contains notes of lemon and grapefruit. Weisse beers date back to 16th century Germany, and this lesser-known style was at one point the most popular beer in Berlin. GRUVI brewers crafted the weisse to represent what a nonalcoholic beer can be- a funky, sour, and refreshing drink. <0.5% ABV Ingredients: Water, Barley, Oats, Wheat, Hops, Yeast.
Pale Ale: The non-alcoholic Pale Ale brew is a true take on an English-Style pale ale, which are known for their balanced bitterness from barley and hops. Chinook, Cascade and Citra hops are used to create slight citrus and piney qualities. This earthy and aromatic beer pours a light caramel color with a foamy head. Pale ale is medium bodied, with a hoppy, bitter bite and slightly sweet endnotes. Ingredients: water, barley, hops, yeast.
Stout: The Gruvi Stout is made with abbey malt, traditionally known for its mild nuttiness and notes of honey. Then added is roasted barley and chocolate malt, brewed into a dry, full bodied, non-alcoholic stout. This dark ale contains hints of toasted malt, along with mild oat and coffee notes. <0.5% ABV Ingredients: Water, Malt, Maltodextrin, Hops, Yeast.
Lager: A classic American lager: light, crisp, & crushable. Each batch is brewed using centennial hops, which are known for their balanced bitterness and light citrus aromas. Ingredients: Malted Barley, Hops, Yeast, Water.
Seasonal Peach Pie Ale: Sold in 1,500 major retail locations across the U.S., Canada and Australia, GRUVI teamed up with the best brewers around the country to create non-alcoholic versions of their most popular beers, starting with Rocky Mountain Brewery’s award-winning peach beer. The collaboration series stems from our desire to push the boundaries for new and unique NA beers that have never been brewed before. Peach Pie Ale starts off with notes of warmly spiced peaches and just the right amount of sweetness. Each sip ends with notes of vanilla and cream, ending with a buttery crust that truly feels like you just had a bite out of a freshly baked pie. Top each beer with whipped cream for a truly unique treat. Peach beer is also 0.0% ABV.
Gruvi has also launched a new subscription box service in Canada, just in time for Dry January.
