A City in Ontario to Host its First Beer Festival

Mississauga, Ontario, is set to host its first-ever craft beer festival. The original date of the festival was supposed to be in 2020 but got pushed back due to the pandemic.

The Mississauga Creative Craft Beer Festival will run June 17-18 at CreativeHub 1352 at Small Arms Inspection Building on Lakeshore Blvd.

Some of the craft brewers confirmed to be on site are: Mississauga craft breweries–Old Credit Brewing Co. and Stonehooker Brewing Co., Barnstormer Brewing and Distilling Co. (Barrie); Beau’s All Natural Brewing Co. (Vankleek); Black Lab, Harmon’s Craft, Shacklands (all Toronto); Brock St. Brewing (Whitby); Fenelon Falls Brewing (Fenelon Falls); Nickel Brook Brewing (Burlington); South River Brewing (South River); and Thornbury Craft (Thornbury).

“Set against the unique backdrop of the Small Arms Inspection Building, a restored heritage treasure, this promises to be a memorable, thirst-quenching experience for craft beer lovers far and wide,” organizers say.

“This ambient open-concept space will be set up with mixed indoor and outdoor seating and large-format games to enhance your experience.”

“Originally scheduled for 2020, the resilient team at CreativeHub 1352 has continued planning over the last 18 months and were determined to host this event as soon as it was safe to do so,” she said. “You can expect a wide variety of your favourite breweries, food options, live music and activities throughout the day. We’ve selected some of the finest brewers in southern Ontario, and each beer has a unique story,” Becky Seath, one of the organizers stated.
