Godspeed Brewery is a neighbourhood brewpub on the east side of Toronto. They focus on producing the most honest beers and foods for kind human beings. Their beers take an “inspiration first” approach; each releasing its own capstone after many years of travel, collaboration, experimentation, and personal growth. Their beer portfolio is intentionally eclectic, running the gamut from bright hoppy pale ales, to classic malt-driven lagers, to bubbly and acerbic saisons. Godspeed takes great pride in honouring centuries-old brewing traditions while putting their own stamp on a variety of styles, often with the help of expressive Japanese ingredients.
In recent years, their Brewmaster’s deepening ties to Czechia has sparked an insatiable desire to brew authentic Czech-style lagers of great distinction.
So it’s no surprise that Goodspeed Brewery will be celebrating a culmination of a year-long project with one of the most illustrious breweries in the world. Beginning October 22, they will celebrate Czech brewing culture and debut not one, but two collaborations with Czechvar. One brewed in České Budějovice and the other brewed in Toronto – which marked the first international collab in Czechvar’s 127-year history. The rest of the beer on taps will feature an entire range of Czech-style lagers, along with classic Czechvar beer.
Saturday cans of the Toronto brewed collaboration will be on sale in person and online. European collab will only be available in limited quantities on tap.
On Sunday, October 23rd special guest Adam Brož, Brewmaster of Czechvar, will be in attendance. Prague Restaurant will be doing a special Czech pop up in the kitchen.
