Whitby, ON’s historic Pump House, built in 1904, will soon be the new establishment for a local brewery.
Town Brewery has agreed to a five-year deal for a pop-up restaurant in the century-old building.
The space will open on July 1 and be available to customers through the fall season.
“This is the first of many good news stories about the redevelopment of our waterfront,” said Whitby Mayor Elizabeth Roy. “The presence of Town Brewery will help make the waterfront more vibrant and welcoming for residents and visitors alike.”
“We’re extremely excited to have the opportunity to work with the Town of Whitby to bring life back to the historic Whitby Pump House this summer,” said Jeff Talmey, co-founder of Town Brewery. “Since 2017, we’ve operated Town Brewery with a focus on strengthening our community through good work and good times.”
