The difficulties persisted.
The pandemic that began in early 2020 resulted in the closure of the tap room for at least eight months, the crew at one time all caught COVID-19, and the brewery was forced to make adjustments due to water constraints.
“It’s been a tough five years,” said general manager Jason Oldham.
“This summer, I think, is hopefully the tipping point to get us towards moving to a business that might actually see some profits in the next couple of years and really start boosting the local economy.”
NuBrew encounters difficulties that southern brewers do not due to its position as Canada’s most northern craft brewery.
