Following the acquisition of a struggling firm’s assets, Bevcraft Group has brought the Canadian digital print manufacturer Solucan in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, back to life.
Bevcraft is a Mullingar-based specialty canner of craft beverages, specializing in digital can printing, mobile and static canning, lab testing, and can distribution services. The Quebec plant will become the eighth in the Bevcraft network, joining facilities in Ireland, the United Kingdom, the United States, Norway, Denmark, and the Netherlands.
In Montreal, at a Quebec-Ireland Business Leaders event, Minister of Foreign Affairs Micheál Martin and Irish Ambassador to Canada Eamonn McKee made the announcement of the launch of Groupe Bevcraft Canada.
“This ambitious expansion firmly establishes you in Canada and underscores Bevcraft’s commitment to Quebec as a region for continued growth in North America. We eagerly anticipate your continued success in the global craft beverage industry,” said Micheál Martin.
Ciarán Gorman, CFO and co-founder of Bevcraft, stated that the company plans to renovate the Quebec plant with a CAD$3 million investment.
At the 16,000 square foot Trois-Rivières factory, first activity has already started. Brite Can distribution and digital can printing services are currently offered, and orders are being processed for customers in the USA and Canada.
Bevcraft Group reported that Investissement Quebec and Enterprise Ireland had assisted it in setting up operations in Canada. Cain Lamarre and Fuller Landau LLP, as well as Chris Ball, provided advice to the firm about the investment in RBK.
Bevcraft was just included to the FT1000 list of the fastest-growing businesses in Europe.
