What Makes Canadian Beer So Appealing to Americans

American consumers still have a soft spot for Canadian beer. North American goods have made a warm and welcoming transition south of the border, bringing with them everything from niche releases to well-known mainstream names. Particularly in areas like Ohio, New England, and other upper midwestern regions.

Why is it the case? The persistence of Canadian beer in America can be attributed to several things.

The category benefits from the widespread appeal of foreign beers, to start with. The Canadian company, Moosehead Breweries, provided statistics for this article indicating that in the latest 48 weeks of chain store scanning, that broad category was up 8.8% compared to last year. Of course, the meteoric ascent of Mexican beers accounts for a large portion of that growth. In a time when the whole beer category is essentially flat or down, Canadian beer itself was up 3.2% from the previous year, which is still a significant increase.
