Tailoring Belgian beer requires bravery. The UNESCO lists Belgian beer culture as a World Heritage Site, and the country’s brewers take great pride in what they make. However, a team at VIB-KU Leuven has started a significant initiative to figure out using scientific and chemical methods that may improve beer.
According to Nature Communications, Leuven researchers have used artificial intelligence to analyze more than two hundred chemical components in order to objectively enhance Belgian beers.
