The Great Canadian Beer Festival is Celebrating its 30th Anniversary

The Great Canadian Beer Festival (GCBF) is a popular event celebrating craft beer from across Canada, held annually since 1993. This year, the festival will take place on September 6 and 7 from 4-9 pm and 12-5 pm, which will move from Royal Athletic Park to Topaz Park, providing a blank slate to reimagine the event for the 30th anniversary and many years to come.

GCBF offers a premium tasting event featuring up to 250 different beers from up to 80 breweries from coast to coast, many served by the brewers themselves. The full brewery and beer list will be announced in the summer, and special hotel packages have already been set up.

Organizers are working hard to ensure a diverse mix of beers, with a brewery line-up spanning across BC and featuring several out-of-province breweries. The BC Ale Trail will also be in attendance, showcasing hand-picked BC beers.

The GCBF is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a media tour and opening ceremony. The festival will offer a Premium Ticket option for the first time, featuring a masterfully crafted beer-and-food pairing by Chef Brian Tesolin of the Courtney Room. Four collaboration brews from Victoria beer standouts, Île Sauvage Brewing, Herald Street Brew Works, Small Gods Brewing, and Whistle Buoy Brewing, will be paired with gourmet snacks. Premium ticket holders will also receive separate entry, six extra beer tokens, and a Premium lounge. This elevates the GCBF adventure.
