A new brewery, Flight Club located in West Kelowna, has opened its doors at 2405 Main Street. The space, which is designed as a tasting room, offers a wide selection of drinks including beers, seltzers, wine, and more. Dylan Klassen, manager of Flight Club envisions the space as a place where customers can try different drinks without overindulging or burning a hole in their wallet. Other flights include non-alcoholic drinks, energy drinks, and hydrogen water, all made directly in house.
The new brewery also plays into their name by decorating the space with various helicopter parts. One of their main partners is also an owner of a helicopter company, and they have a prop table at the far end that spins from the top and a helicopter blade as one of their lights above the bar. A first-time customer visited Flight Club to try some different drinks, and he was impressed with the flights going.
The owner wants everyone to know that for every can of alcohol purchased, 10 cents will be donated to local charities in need, including children’s charities and ski and snowboarding schools for youth. Currently, Flight Club has 15 different drinks to choose from, and plans are in motion for a grand opening this summer when approval from the City of West Kelowna is obtained to expand its capacity limit from 30 to approximately 150. If approved, the plan is to later install a rooftop patio for the new space.
