Brewery in British Columbia Releases a Unique Beer in Support of Canadian Firefighters

Penticton brewery Cannery Brewing has reintroduced its “Wildfire Dark Lager,” a limited-time release that raises funds for the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation (CFFF).

The beer, released as 430 wildfires rage across British Columbia, is a tribute to the brave firefighters and emergency service workers who fight wildfires in the Okanagan, throughout British Columbia, and across the country each year. A portion of the sales from the “Wildfire Dark Lager” will go towards the CFFF, an Ottawa-based group that honors and remembers firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty and supports their families.

The brew, which has been released in support of the cause for over 10 years, can be purchased inside Cannery Brewing and at select liquor stores across British Columbia and Alberta.

The special edition lager, described by the brewery as a refreshing North American lager with additional flavor and complexity resulting from a darker malted barley, will be available for purchase until the end of the summer.
