Veterinarians Without Borders North America (VWB) is thrilled to announce the launch of its largest-ever Animals & Ales Pet Photo Contest, bringing together pet lovers and craft beer enthusiasts across Canada and the U.S. From March 3 to March 17, 2025, participants are invited to submit photos of their beloved pets for a chance to be featured on exclusive beer labels crafted by 49 participating breweries.

This unique contest offers pet owners the opportunity to showcase their furry, feathered, or finned friends while supporting VWB’s mission to provide veterinary care and animal health programs to communities in need worldwide. Each vote cast in the contest equates to a $1 donation, directly benefiting VWB’s initiatives.

“We are thrilled to bring back this fun contest in such a monumental way,” said Charmaine Brett, VWB’s executive director. “This marks our fourth, and largest ever, Animals and Ales Pet Photo Contest and we are beyond excited to be partnering with almost 50 amazing breweries across both Canada and the U.S.,” she added. “This is a great way for pet guardians and their networks to come together in supporting animals and communities in need, in Canada, the U.S., and across the globe,” said Brett. “Through this contest, we can come together in strengthening One Health globally – building healthier animals, people, and environments,” she said.  

How to participate:

• • • Capture a high-quality photo of your pet.
    • Select a participating brewery.
    • Submit your pet’s photo through the designated brewery’s contest page.
    • Promote your entry to gather votes from friends, family, and the community.
    • The pet with the highest votes for each brewery will be immortalized on a limited-edition beer label, with some breweries offering additional prizes.

Milestone prizes:

Participants can unlock exciting rewards as they reach fundraising milestones:

• • • $1,500 Raised: Tote bag and collapsible pet water dish
    • $3,500 Raised: $50 PetSmart gift card
    • $6,500 Raised: Personalized ballcap featuring your pet’s face
    • $10,000 Raised: YETI dog bowl

All funds raised will support VWB’s programs, delivering essential veterinary services to underserved communities across North America and globally. This includes aiding remote areas in Alaska, Northern Canada, and regions affected by natural disasters.
