CRAFT Beer Market is pleased to announce the official Grand Opening for the False Creek location on Monday, March 27th. Located in the heritage Salt Building, the restaurant has undergone an extensive restoration and renovation, including a refreshing indoor/outdoor patio vibe with 124 new outdoor seats, a cozy new surf lounge with an indoor fireplace, a custom retro air streamer fitted out with private booths, and raised areas throughout the restaurant to enjoy better views. The newly updated and iconic 360-degree bar features over 140 beverages on tap, all supplied from the glass-enclosed keg room holding 400+ kegs and over 19,000 liters of beer!
As part of the renovation, CRAFT Beer Market has partnered with local artists to showcase their work, giving guests a taste of the city’s vibrant arts scene. While many cosmetic changes have been made to the space, the historic integrity of this waterfront location remains true to its roots.
“We are excited for the next chapter for our False Creek location and to continue to be a landmark destination within the community,” said CRAFT Beer Market Founder, PJ L’Heureux. “There is a lot of history in the building, and we’re thankful for the support that the community has given CRAFT.” President and COO Scott Frank added, “We can’t believe we opened the doors 10 years ago and are looking forward to many happy years ahead.”
Bookings for lunch, dinner, and brunch open Monday, March 27th, and are recommended but never required. For more information, please visit www.craftbeermarket.ca.
Building History: This heritage building has a rich history, dating back to the 1930s when it was used by the Vancouver Salt Co. for salt processing. It is a rare reminder of False Creek’s thriving industrial past, which included sawmills, steel fabrication plants, logging sites, foundries, shipbuilders, and other businesses dependent on close proximity to rail and water shipping avenues. The salt processed here was a key component of the fishing trade in Vancouver, and many food industries relied on this product to preserve their own.
