White Claw summer of drink

For all of you who still think there is nothing to this hard seltzer craze, think again.

Brewbound reports that Mark Anthony Brands has selected Glendale, Arizona, as the location of its $250 million West Coast production facility. This in on top of $135 million being dropped on a new plant in New Jersey making the total investment $385 million.

While this might seem like a lot – especially since Mark Anthony Brands is self-financing the construction – the company is expecting to make $4 billion in 2020 with its White Claw, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, and Cayman Jack Cocktails.

In order to get the 916,000 sq. ft. Arizona facility up and running within seven months, the company has brought in heavy-lift Russian aircraft to move heavy equipment.

The plant will have around 200 workers and has full backing from the governor of Arizona and the mayor of Glendale, all of which made Glendale the choice spot for the plant.
