Steaming from a mutual love for Mexican beer and cuisine, Head Brewer Carlo Baroccio teamed up with fellow industry professionals to bring a genuine taste of Mexico to North Vancouver’s shipyard and brewery district.

The micro-brewery, La Cerveceria Astilleros (Spanish for The Shipyards Brewery), will be launching its new beer and opening its taproom and Mexican restaurant in the Lower Lonsdale neighbourhood sometime next month at 226 Esplanade East, North Vancouver.

The brewery’s kick off beer, El Valle Salado Salted Lime Lager (4.6% abv), is made using Mexican limes and culinary salt from the UNESCO Heritage site El Valle Salado in Añana, Spain.

El Valle Salado is currently available in 6-packs of 355 ml cans at select stores in BC.
