Modern Brewer’s Village Green Opens its Doors in PEI

Prince Edward Island has just acquired its newest brewery and pub in Cornwall, a town located west of Charlottetown.

Founded by Bryan Carver, who boasts an extensive background in brew roles including time at local PEI breweries like Gahan House and as a brew consultant in India, Carver now adds Modern Brewer’s Village Green to his list.

“I started working in the initial business plan under the brand Modern Brewer, which is a brand of the beer we produce,” said Carver in an interview with Atlantic Canada Beer Blog. “Modern Brewer’s Village Green, or just Village Green, is the physical location in Cornwall. I hope to expand the Modern Brewer brand to another location or two in the coming years. We are developing a culture aimed at celebrating diversity. I feel that diversity in beer can be a great vehicle for celebrating the diversity in people.”

Currently the brew pub serves two beers on tap: Pale Ale (5.9% abv) and Blonde Ale (5.7% abv) with other brews set to hit taps in the coming weeks. In addition to their own brews, Modern Brewers also offers other local PEI beers.
