West Kelowna Opens its Second Brewery

West Kelowna has officially opened its second craft brewery in the region. Based in Lakeview Heights, Lakesider is now serving its locals on tap brews and Okanagan feels, “We built Lakesider to try to capture the quintessential Okanagan experience in our tasting room,” said owner Kieran Armour. “We wanted to bring fresh craft beer to the west side and join our partners at Kind Brewing in bringing craft beer to the masses.”

Located in the rebuilt Lakeview Village, its rock exterior wraps all the way around the tasting room allowing patrons to have a lakeside experience.

“We felt really enamoured with the Lakeview Heights area, being just off the wine trail and having the beauty of the lakeside views and we really wanted to capture that in our brewery experience,” said Armour.

The casual and comforting atmosphere compliments the spacious patio and Lakesider brews, “Good for sunny patio weather, mostly lighter on the hops although we do have a really nice IPA and we’re just kegging a Neipa today.”

Customers can choose to dine on casual fairs including Neapolitan thin-crust pizza and street tacos.

“Everything we do is as authentic as we can get and also locally sourced wherever possible,” said Armour.
