The Village Brewery in Calgary, AB, is raising money to help local Trevor Hofbauer get to the Tokyo Games by launching their Village Runner Natural Golden Ale. Naturally Golden, The Village Runner is dedicated to all of those Albertans who log kilometres on the pathways and trails of this beautiful province. This beer is also raised as a toast to all of the volunteers of race events and their organizers, who are community leaders that bring golden moments to their community. To represent The Runner is Trevor Hofbauer, who is pictured on the can, after winning the Centaur Subaru Half Marathon at the 2018 Scotiabank Calgary Marathon. Trevor’s career was only starting in that moment, as he’s won three national titles, been named to four national teams, and will be representing Canada at the upcoming 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games in the Marathon. His soft heart, humility, and drive for success make him a leader on and off the field of play. It takes a village to support our country’s best athletes and it takes a relentless work ethic to be Naturally Golden.
