Data collection has not been kind to the craft brewing industry in the last year so it was no surprise when last month’s data revealed more of the same. Although difficult to calculate because the pandemic did play such a role in the downward spiral of dropping numbers, looking at the bigger picture could be a good thing.

Taking a look at the Brewers Association graph below, it pinpoints where the US closed its doors and the world began its first lockdown period. BA craft is still up 15 percent versus 2019 in May.
