Labatt has now launched its tribute beer across Canada—Chernigivske. Inspired by the beloved Ukrainian beer of the same name, the tribute brew was created as a means to support Ukrainians in need, and as such, all gross profits from the sale of Chernigivske are being donated to the CARE Ukraine Crisis Fund.
Chernigivske is now available in 6-pack packaged cans, coast to coast across Canada including Ontario, British Columbia, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, and PEI.
“Our nation is feeling particularly connected to the current crisis in Ukraine given Canada has the world’s second-largest Ukrainian population outside of Ukraine,” said Marcelo Michaelis, President, Labatt Canada. “Labatt has a 175-year legacy of supporting communities in need, so we felt overwhelmingly compelled to find a way to provide relief. Through the simple act of purchasing Chernigivske beer, Canadians will be directly supporting those impacted by this crisis, with all proceeds going towards humanitarian aid.”
Chernigivske is a crisp European lager that has been brewed in Ukraine since 1988 and since its inception, has celebrated Ukraine’s history, culture, and people – exactly what Labatt aims to share and support with this tribute beer.
