Dear Brewers,
As your supplier for all things keg valve-related, we also feel your pain with regard to the unprecedented challenge that COVID19 has presented to our beloved brewing industry.
In spite of the difficulties at hand, Micro Matic Packaging Division remains fully functional with emphasis on the safety and health of our team members foremost. We remain ready to provide our usual high level of personalized technical support, replacement keg spears, tools and parts. With all of your kegs likely coming back into your brewery over the next few weeks, it’s a good time to sort, assess and segregate those needing repair. We’re here to help.
Please call us; Jon, (Western Provinces) at (817) 403-1502 or Steve, (Eastern Provinces) at (785) 766-1921. We’re happy to conduct live online keg repair training workshops, help you to write and upgrade SOP for keg inspection, maintenance and repair, assess your keg washing machine performance and of course, to repair your kegs.
Here is a link to hibernating your draft lines, should this be necessary: https://www.micromatic.com/guidelines-hibernating-your-draught-beer-system
Best wishes for you, your families, employees and customers – from all of us at Micro Matic

Dear friends from the brewing community,
With the growing global response to reduce the spread of COVID-19, I want to provide you with an update on our actions and commitment to provide on-going support and services during this difficult period. The health, safety and well-being of our employees, their families, our clients, suppliers and supporters is a top priority for us so we are following the instructions from Government and public health authorities in Ontario, Canada at this important time.
Cemcrop is committed to providing on-going services to you during this challenging time. Our team is equipped with the ability to work from home and we have taken this step per the recommendation by government and local health officials. The office will remain functional during this period and we have made arrangements to ensure that mail and courier packages are received. We are encouraging clients to transmit information electronically during this period and we will do the necessary printing here. We have increased the level of cleaning in the office and we are restricting access to Cemcorp Team members only. If a Cemcorp Team member is requested to visit your office or facility, we will follow all of your requirements and take reasonable steps to follow social distancing guidelines.
We understand that the current situation is causing many challenges for all of us and we will continue to work to ensure we have minimal business interruptions on the services that we provide. If you have any questions or require any additional assistance please contact myself or any of our team members.
Dear friends from the brewing community,
What we’ve seen from the craft community in the last few years — producers, brewers, consumers, and everyone in between — is that it is supportive, caring, and creative, through good times and bad.
In turn, we wanted to bring that spirit out by showcasing how easy it is to support the breweries in our communities that we care so much about, whether that be through purchasing beer for home delivery, or through gift cards or online shop purchases. We call the initiative Sustain Craft: a website (sustaincraft.beer) that compiles a list of craft breweries in areas across the country that offer home delivery or gift card sales. You can easily find one that’s close to where you live, sort by how you’d like to support, and read the notices and specials that breweries have posted. New breweries and areas are being added on a daily basis.
We hope it helps bring everyone a little bit closer, and makes it easier to keep the beer flowing (albeit this time straight to our homes.)
Dear friends and customers,
StarCrowns is open for business and our products are still coming into our Montreal harbour on a weekly basis. As more people stay indoors, the volume of packaged beer has increased. We have maximized our stocks on plain crowns and are quick to react on custom printed crowns with short lead times.
Due to the unprecedented impact of COVID-19 on your operations, cashflow is dire. StarCrowns will offer 60 days payment terms to pitch in. Let’s get through this and show the world how WE come together as a team in Canada. Stay safe and healthy!
Dear Canadian craft breweries and beer professionals,
This are the most trying of times as not even our parents can say that they have experienced anything near to what we are all faced with Globally!
Nevertheless, it certainly heartwarming to see and read reports of many Canadian Craft Brewers and Craft Distillers putting aside their own work and profits so as to help their immediate communities and neighbours alike! To hear that they are using their automated machinery to make things like various disinfectants and hand sanitizers is so commendable. Thanks to you all for your generosity and selflessness.
Our company has been deemed as an essential provider, however in order to ensure everyone’s safety, we have a limited amount of staff on site. These valued employees are doing their best to help with all the requests from our customers, as well as continuing to build fillers for many people involved in various cleaning products.
Bless you and your ongoing efforts and may we all collectively “plank the curve” and get over this horrible virus!
